Thurs. 10/26 Update...God is doing so much at Crosspoint!  Here are the latest snapshots:

Supply Distribution

We've wrapped up our first phase of supply distribution for our community, but there's a lot more to come!  Our storage unit in the upper parking lot is packed with clothes (sorted and boxed) which we'll be giving out to the community, along with other supplies which will be coming, on December 1-3.  Crosspoint is committed to the long-term rebuilding of lives and homes in Santa Rosa, and we're planning for the future!  More information on this will be coming soon...

Neighborhood Connect

For several month, we have been asking the Lord to provide a way to connect with our local neighbors.

Out of the ashes God brings a beautiful answer.

We will be going door to door introducing   ourselves and asking our neighbors, “how are you doing”,  “what are your needs”?

If you can donate a small portion of your  time to meet our neighbors, this project is for you.

Saturday, October 28 meet at church at 9:30am for prayer and going door to door.

 Contact Stu Patterson at 322-4647.

Tues. 10/17 Update...Wow, God is so good!  We have given away more clothing, supplies, food, and water than we ever imagined possible!  And there is still so much to do.  Here is a snapshot of how things are looking:

Sorting and Organizing

We continue to need help sorting and organizing items between 9am and 4pm this week...come to the church and help out!

Packing Boxes Wednesday, 10/18

Whoever can come to help us move packed boxes of clothing into our storage bin...we need the help!!  Please come on Wednesday, 10/18 at 4pm to help us load and pack.

Church on Sunday 10/22

We will have normal Sunday morning service at 9:49am, with children's classes, and we will follow with a special time of Revive from 11:15am-12:15pm.  As you talk and pray with those in your community who are hurting, invite them to join us and find healing in the arms of God!

Fri. 10/13 Update... What an overwhelming response from our Converge family!  The church is bursting at the seams with donations of clothes, toiletries, water, food, and other supplies!  Praise the Lord!

Here are a few things to know for the upcoming days...

Sorting and Organizing

Saturday we will be organizing the donations at the church again, starting at 9am Saturday morning.  Bring friends and family to come help us prepare to distribute everything!

Donation Distribution

The church will be open for the community to come in and get whatever they need from all that has been donated.  Here are the hours we will be open:
Sunday, noon to 5pm
Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm

Church Service

We will have our normally scheduled church service at 9:49 this Sunday, as usual...come join us for a time of singing, prayer, and encouragement from God's Word!

Area-wide prayer gathering

There will be a prayer gathering at Redwood Covenant Church (3175 Sebastopol Rd.) this Sunday evening at 6pm.

Wed. 10/11 Update... We are all reeling from this catastrophic last few days.  I can’t begin to describe the emotions we are all feeling:  gratitude for our lives and safety, fear for those we can’t yet contact, grief at all the loss.  The burden of these things is too much for any of us to bear.  And in the midst of our most difficult and troubling times in life, God speaks.  “Cast all your cares upon Me, for I care for you!”

Our Response

How can we even begin to respond to a tragedy that seems to grow and change each new minute?  This afternoon, I’m drawn back to the familiar words of Psalm 46.  “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, thought the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea…be still and know that I am God” (Ps 46:1-2, 10).  We serve a God who is loving and good.  A God who is not taken by surprise.  A God who provides strength in our weakness.  And, as many of us have experienced these last few days while going through loss, He provides for us in amazing and unexpected ways.

I wanted to share a few things with you so we can open lines of communication and get help to all those in need.  Here are the highlights:

Crosspoint Church Building

The Crosspoint building was unaffected by the fire, and just a few hours ago power was restored.  Since we are inside the evacuation zone, we are not able to operate as a shelter.  However, our phones are now up and working and we’re able to receive emails and calls.

Church Gathering – Thursday October 12, 5pm

We will be gathering as a church family tomorrow at 5pm to eat a meal together, rejoice with those who are rejoicing, mourn with those who are mourning, and pray with each other.  If you are in your home and unaffected, and you’re able to bring some food to share, that would be wonderful!  We are receiving clothing and food from Converge churches throughout California, which is scheduled to arrive before this meeting…anyone in need of clothing or food can take whatever they need.

Meeting Needs

There is an army of Crosspoint warriors desiring to be unleashed!  If you lost your home or are displaced, we have many ways the church family can help, from places to shower and sleep and live to clothing, food, etc.  If you are in need in any way, please contact our disaster relief coordinators: Rusty and Marilyn Barry at (707)481-3594 or (707)975-8262 or

I’m so impressed by the overwhelming response of Crosspoint any time there is a need:  the reflex is generosity!  So many of you have expressed a desire to help in any way necessary.  If you have specific things you’d like to do to help or things you can offer, please contact our disaster relief coordinators: Rusty and Marilyn Barry at (707)481-3594 or (707)975-8262 or

Many from outside the area have been asking how they can donate to help those in the church affected by this.  We have set up a way to donate electronically through our website:   This will go directly to our benevolent fund to help families in need.

I believe God has placed us here in Santa Rosa for exactly this time and reason:  to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our community.  This world needs Jesus like never before, and each of us has been called to be a First Responder with the gospel.  Let’s answer that call as ambassadors for Christ in our city!  Let’s lean on Him, and lean on each other, as we recover, serve, and minister.

With much love for you all…

Pastor Mike

Tues. 10/10 Update... Crosspoint Community Church is meeting together to eat and pray on Thursday at 5pm. Please come and tell other Crosspoint family.

Tues. 10/10 Update... Good morning from Santa Rosa. It's hard to know where to even begin with what to say with these horrific fires sweeping the area. At this point the church building is fine (although without power), but we can confirm that 10 of our families (that we know of) have lost their homes. Please lift them up in prayer as they go through this devastating time of recovery and the inevitable question of "why". If you are affected and need help or have provisions to offer, our Pastor Mike said to get in touch with him by email ( or phone at 707-318-7574. Again, at this time the church doesn't have power, so please don't go there or try and contact them for dropping off provisions or to try and get help. Also, God's timing is always amazing and perfect as Pastor Mike's sermon on Sunday talked about not taking anything for granted. If you want to listen to the sermon, here is the link:
